"Meet me halfway" is one of those rare songs whose music videos is superior to the song itself. The Black Eyed Peas' video is impressive, blending science fiction with fantasy. Fergie stars as a wood sprite/nymph, while her bandmates are astronauts/desert nomads. As for "Meet me halfway"--it's a blah song. It almost evokes the bubblegum songs of the '50s,it's that vapid. Unlike the '50s,it has a pointless rap to serve as the bridge. It would work for a commercial,or as ambient muzak. It's innocuous,but it's not great either.
