Okay, I'll admit, I got excited about this CD just because a bunch of my favorite songs were on it. Some of these songs (such as "Somebody to Love") were sung orginally by all men. What fun is that to a girl who wants to be able to sing along with it and not feel like I'm posing as a guy? Yes, I dance around my room with this cranked up, singing as loud as I possibly can, when no one else is home. But, honestly, if you don't want to do that while listening to this CD, then there's something wrong with you. I'm sorry, but that's the way it is. :)
These songs are not and probably will never be as good as the original versions, but when they are sung in the show, the students have so much fun with it that I (at least) can overlook that one problem. I love the show and this soundtrack was a must-have for my collection. You won't be disappointed.Get more detail about Glee: The Music, Volume 1.
