I consider myself a TSO fan without being a TSO fanboy - I own all their albums, I see them in concert when they roll around, but I'm by no means obsessed with them. Maybe I'm the only one who thought that "Night Castle" wasn't all I was expecting it to be, and definitely not what I was hoping for it to be.
That said, "The Flight of Cassandra" (an MP3 exclusive that was not on the album itself) is a good track that sounds like the TSO I know and love. An instrumental track, it lacks the vocal prowess of some of their better songs, but each instrument used really shines here - good guitar work is a given with TSO, but the backing keyboards and drums really make this track shine. If this song had closed out the album, I might not have been left with such a bitter taste in my mouth.
I'd recommend buying this track as part of the album purchase (you'll get a better deal), but if you already have the album and like TSO this is a worthy individual purchase.Get more detail about The Flight Of Cassandra (Amazon MP3 Exclusive).
