As a long time John Mayer fan and a fellow musician, I have to say this album is a disaster. I have loved all of his other albums, but this one is nothing like them. He seems to be experimenting with a different sound-one which is not working for him. Some of the songs are very 80's sounding. His rendition of crossroads is terrible; I'm sure Robert Johnson is turning over in his grave. Get more detail about Battle Studies.
